EWP Convention 2026

The University of Naples Federico II hosts the EWP Convention 2026: the international Erasmus+ community gathers in Naples to shape the future of digitalization.

From June 16 to 18, 2026, the University of Naples Federico II will host the EWP Convention – Erasmus Without Paper 2026, a prestigious international event dedicated to digital innovation in academic mobility processes. The event will be held in the evocative setting of the Cloister of Saints Marcellinus and Festus.

The Convention represents one of the most significant moments at the European level for discussing the future of digitalization of the Erasmus+ program, bringing together users, industry professionals, experts, and institutional representatives committed to building an increasingly integrated, efficient, and accessible international mobility ecosystem.
Hosting an event of this magnitude is a prestigious achievement for the University of Naples, which confirms its role as a leader in the internationalization and innovation of higher education. The choice of Naples and Federico II University as the venue for the Convention recognizes the University’s strategic role in the International Erasmus Community and in promoting the digital transformation of international mobility services, strengthening its position within European academic cooperation networks.
Over the course of three days, the EWP – Erasmus Without Paper 2026 Conference will take stock of a crucial year for the digitalization of Erasmus+, offering an overview of the latest developments in the EWP network and dashboard, and previewing new features currently being tested. These innovations will go beyond traditional processes implemented to date, further enriching the entire international student mobility ecosystem.
The program includes:
• Keynote speeches and strategic roundtables, with high-level discussions dedicated to future developments, lessons learned, and strategic perspectives for digitalization in higher education;
• Thematic workshops and in-depth practical sessions focused on operational aspects and institutional needs;
• Community spaces, dedicated to the open exchange of experiences, solutions, and opportunities among industry professionals;
• Collaborative hackathons, in which multidisciplinary teams will work on innovative solutions to address the challenges of digital mobility.
The setting of the Cloister of Saints Marcellinus and Festus, a symbolic place of the University’s history and identity, will offer an ideal setting for social events, networking opportunities, and roundtable discussions, enhancing the dialogue between innovation and cultural heritage.
The organization of the Convention was strongly supported and promoted by the Erasmus+ and International Mobility Office of the University of Naples Federico II, coordinated by Professor Costantino, Erasmus+ Delegate of the Rector and Vice-President of the EUF Steering Committee, demonstrating the University’s commitment to leading innovation and international cooperation processes.
With the EWP Convention 2026, the University of Naples Federico II once again places itself at the centre of the European debate on the digital transformation of higher education, confirming its international vocation and its leading role in building the European university of the future, comments Professor Valeria Costantino.
